He began his career as an investment banker at Citigroup, where he played a pivotal role in expanding the firm’s global M&A business. Liu led transformative cross-border deals for high-profile companies, including Motorola, Caterpillar, Monsanto, COFCO, and BYD. In addition to his M&A expertise, Liu was the Chief Financial Officer for Citigroup’s Financial Institution Cards division, where he managed the financial operations of a $2 billion portfolio.
